Prawn recipes are a favorite with a wide range of people hailing from different countries. Sea food is nutritious as well as tasty. Great care has to be taken while cleaning the prawns. After removing the thick outer shell, use a knife to make a slit down the middle of the curved tail and pull out the dark colored vein. After removing the vein, rinse well the prawns and drain them. While cooking prawns, ensure that the prawns are not over-cooked which will otherwise make the prawns tough and flavorless. When a prawn recipe is done, the prawns will turn orange in color.I am going to illustrate the preparatory steps of ?Prawn Masala Recipe’, a tasty as well as nutritious recipe for kids as well as elders.To make 7 grand servings, you will need:Prawns/Shrimps) – 1 lb / 450g(cleaned) Onion – 1 cup(chopped) Tomato – 1/2 cup(finely make breasts firmer chopped) Green chillies – 2 nos(finely chopped) Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp Chilly powder – 1 1/2 tbsp Cumin(Jeerakam) powder – 1/2 tsp Coriander powder – 1/2 tbsp Turmeric powder – 1 tsp Garam masala – A pinch Coriander leaves – for garnishing Curry leaves – Few Oil – 1/2 cup Salt – As reqd Water – As reqdPreparation Method of Prawn Recipe:1)Marinate prawns with the powders(except garam masala), salt and a bit of ginger garlic paste for 1/2 an hour. 2)Heat oil in a pan. 3)Add curry leaves and the marinated shrimps. 4)Fry till the shrimps turn dark brown.(well fried – but less crispy) Keep aside the fried shrimps. 5)In the same pan with the left oil add onions, curry leaves, green chillies and ginger-garlic paste. 6)When the onions turn translucent, add chopped tomato. 7)When it becomes a little pulpy, add the fried prawns.
